The text-to-speech (TTS) converter is a technology that decrypts digital text and synthesizes speech from it using an artificial voice.

When it comes to video creation, this feature is extremely useful when you need to voiceover your video clip, but have no resources to record a real voice.

With Wave.video TTS converter you can turn text to speech in 25+ languages selecting from dozens of naturally-sounding male, female, and kid voices.

Here is how you convert text to speech:

Step 1. Upload the video you want to add the voice to and access the video editor.

Step 2. Click on the audio track and select Auto Text-to-Speech:

Step 3. Select what text you want to use, new text, or text from the project.

Step 4. Select the language from the drop-down menu.

Step 4. Select the voice from the list. You can pre-listen the samples to make the right choice for your video.

Step 5. Paste or type in the text in the chosen language to turn it into speech. Hit "Generate voice" to create an audio file and add it to the video.

Step 6. The audio track will appear on the timeline underneath your footage. You can customize and edit it as a usual audio file.

If you need to update or replace the text that you've generated the audio from, you can easily do it:

Click on the audio block and select the Replace button from the menu on the right. Choose Replace text, add your new text, and regenerate the audio file.
