Originally created by Edward Lear, Limericks are a humorous poem consisting of five lines. The first, second, and fifth lines MUST have seven to ten syllables while rhyming and having the same verbal rhythm. The third and fourth lines should only have five to seven syllables while following the same rhyming and rhythm rules.
- Can you write your own Limerick? For an extra challenge, why don't you write a Limerick that is associated with your business? You can even make a video on Wave.video of you reciting your fresh Limerick.
- Not a creative word-smith? No problem! You can find a couple of your favorite Limericks and share them on your page. Everyone can use a good laugh once in a while, and this is one of the best chances to give your audience that chuckle.
